Blotterature has a strong connection to our place – industrialized Northwest Indiana – and it is reflective in our writing. Tell us where you are and how your place fits into your writing.

If anything I’ve ever written reflects on where I’m from- A Tree Born Crooked is it. I grew up in backwoods north Florida (though now live in ‘citified’ west coast Florida) and this location is clearly reflected in my novel. The fictional town of Crystal Springs and its inhabitants draws heavily on the people and places I grew up around.
